Normally, I am a bit wary about reading biographies about people who are little more than children.Not in this case. Malala has experienced more in her short life than most of us would experience in three lifetimes - and being shot by terrorists is only a small part of it.This is the story of the bravery and refusal to be silenced, not only of Malala herself but also of all her family and friends.Malala fully deserves all the media attention she has received of late and should be getting much more support from private and, especially governmental establishments and organizations.Rock on girl. You have got my full support.
my hero is Malala, thats clear... the story is told over and over in news and certainly she was one of the best choices of the nobel price committee for many years! She is a very special hero... her struggle for female education is absolutely outstanding. for me was also a very big point to adore her so much, that she combines believe in God, in traditions with an open mind and borderless curiosity, a love for books and good stories, her descriptions of Swat make almost smell the flowers or the muddy rivers. Together with her charming and humble personality ...a model for girls ALL over the world... Zindabad, Malala -jaan!!!
An diesem Buch gefällt mir besonders der Anfang, mit dem die Lebensart und Teile einer Landschaft im Nordwesten Pakistans beschrieben werden. Auch die Situation der Schulbildung ist verständlich dargestellt ebenso der tägliche Umgang der Menschen miteinander. Lesenswert für alle, die Pakistan einmal besuchen möchten. Zu beachten ist aber, dass hier nur ein kleines Umfeld aus einem sehr großen Land beschrieben wird, dass nicht alle Vorkommnisse allgemein gültig sind.
Mich interessierte diese Geschichte sehr, weil man im Endeffekt feststellen muss, dass sich - trotz der weltweiten Bekanntheit dieser Tragödien - in dem Teil der Welt nichts geändert hat. Militär und Politik können sich anscheinend nicht gegen das Unwesen der Taliban durchsetzen.Auch in unserem heutigen Leben im Westen stelle ich fest, dass der Kuran von Männern immer noch so ausgelegt wird, wie es ihnen paßt. Es ist schwer für Mädchen, sich dem Patriarchat zu entziehen - trotz dieses traurigen Wahrheit von Malala.Hilda Nitsche
Dieses Buch gibt eine sehen gute Einsicht in das Leben von Malala.. sehr oft war ich verwundert, wenn sie von den unterschiedlichen Verhaltensweisen der Menschen erzählt hat. Ich finde, es ist sehr inspirierend, dass sich ein junges Mädchen aus Pakistan so sehr für die Bildung von Mädchen einsetzt und noch bewundernswerter finde ich, dass ihr Vater, ein Mann, sie so toll erzogen hat!!!
Ich bin doch sehr überrascht gewesen was ein Mädchen in ihren jungen Jahren doch alles erleben und auch bewegen kann! Mich hat es zum nachdenken angeregt. Es ist auf jeden Fall lesenswert für jemanden der sich mit der nahöstlichen Mentalität auseinander setzten will.
Ein bewegendes Buch! Man muss sich als älterer Mensch richtig schämen, weil erst eine junge Frau der Welt zeigen muss und zeigt, was in ihr verkehrt läuft.
